I began my career at a major defense contractor practicing industrial, systems, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Working on programs including the F22 Raptor and F35 Lightning allowed me to focus on both the art and science of engineering. After spending nearly 8 years in engineering and obtaining my master’s degree in business, I took the leap into finance.

There are many parallels between engineering and finance. Building and optimizing models, focusing on innovation, leveraging academia in the real world and problem solving are just a handful of the similarities. I focus on portfolio construction and enjoy the process of developing a portfolio, which begins with data analysis and leads to drawing conclusions. In between lies correlation analysis, asset allocation, risk analysis, active vs. passive management decisions, and an overlay of personal preferences and behaviors.

I am furthering my education and expertise by entering the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. The CFA Program sets the global standard for investment knowledge, standards, and ethics. Through this course of study, I will be able to better help clients develop an investment portfolio that is suited to their needs.

Many of the women that I work with are employed in the engineering and science fields and are often busy professionals who lack the time needed to devote to building their financial plan. Our specialization in portfolio construction allows us to help clients develop and monitor their financial plan so that they can focus on what is important to them, whether that be advancing in their career, caring for an aging parent or spending time with their family and friends.

In addition to providing financial planning and investment management services to our clients, the professionals at Wagener-Lee Wealth Advisors can also assist clients by providing tax and estate planning guidance as well as managing corporate 401(k) plans.
